The mobile office is becoming a reality: Mercedes-Benz presents the BusinessCase, a multifunctional case made of 100% aluminium, with room for everything the modern manager requires when travelling. Mobile phone, laptop, filing system - there's even room for a small printer. A unique safety concept has been developed and implemented, ensuring that the BusinessCase will always return home safe and sound.

Front passenger seat mounting protects case in event of crash

The BusinessCase is robust in design and built to withstand crashes, and can be secured to the front passenger seat by means of the standard seat belt and an additional retaining belt. This means that in the event of sudden braking or an accident, the sensitive, valuable contents - and of course the driver - are well protected.

The BusinessCase specially designed to meet target group requirements

Many Mercedes-Benz customers who use their car for business purposes spend a great deal of time at the wheel. The BusinessCase has been designed with this target group in mind. Maximum functionality, safety and comfort were the benchmarks adopted during development. The case is made of 0.8 mm thick aluminium. From the outside it is not possible to tell just what's in the BusinessCase, as all the functional details are concealed beneath the case's tough, gleaming exterior. Special seals protect the case against water splashes, so that no harm can come to the delicate contents even in the event of a downpour.

The inner workings – well thought-out and functional

The upper side of the case contains a flap which can be opened from the outside. This flap conceals a compartment for the laptop. A foam rubber lining compensates for the difference in sizes between various laptop models. A securing belt fastens and protects the equipment during transport. The flap itself is in two parts, and by simply folding the top section down it converts into a writing surface. An integrated aluminium clip panel holds pens and paper. Inside the attaché case, there is room for additional writing implements, business cards and a mobile phone. The bottom part of the case is designed to hold folders and a printer. Two gas-filled struts in the base make for easy opening, even when carrying a laptop.

Power on the move, wherever you are

Sooner or later, even the best battery gives up the ghost. But with the BusinessCase from Mercedes-Benz, this problem is a thing of the past. There are three sockets inside the case, supplying power to three electrical devices from the car’s cigarette lighter. So it's no problem to write a memo, send it by mobile phone, and even print it out if need be. And while you're driving, the mobile equipment can be recharged.

Integrated anti-theft protection

The BusinessCase not only protects its contents in the event of a crash, but prevents unauthorised access, too. This is a particularly crucial aspect, as important documents always need to be kept safe when you're on the move. An individually adjustable combination lock prevents unauthorised opening of the case, and an integrated alarm system makes it virtually impossible for the case to be removed without it being noticed. If an unauthorised person tries to pick up the case, a motion sensor sets off an acoustic alarm. In addition to the alarm system, the remote control supplied also controls the lock on the laptop compartment. With its high-quality design and superb build quality, the BusinessCase will without doubt be the first choice for demanding customers who refuse to compromise, especially in business.

The BusinessCase from Mercedes Benz is now available at all sales and service outlets and from all authorised dealers.
